Benefit For Kristian

Our community is having a benefit for Kristian on October 21st. Please come if you are in the area!

Prayers would be appreciated as well. O=)

Hello my bloggers buddies! =) Just want to let you know that I do enjoy reading email messages or messages posted to blogger. I'm always hearing from new bloggers and enjoy reading your comments. (PS I enjoy the verbal messages too;) So another weekend is nearly behind us. What a beautiful weekend we had. We did not have any outside work done. Everyone had other commitments. This allowed me some time to work in the inside. I got a few boxes emptied and some things put in place.... or closer into place! The center room is getting a bit more empty. I worked in the guest bathroom today. I got a close up of my photo in that room. It's my cute little girls when they were 4,5 & 6. Amber is putting make up on Brooke and Ashlin is looking in the mirror. Cute huh! =) I put new chair tips on so the floors won't get scratched. A rod hung in the laundry area. I will be able to hang stuff as it comes out of the dryer, if only I could find a way to magically get them into the closets.... LOL...at least the famous PILES will be hanging now...LOL Also, when the kids/guests come for a visit they will have a place to hang stuff if needed. You'll also see Kristian's room got a few finishing touches. You'll also see him putting movies away before leaving for the evening. You'll notice his towel even has horses on it! =) What a find, they were even on clearance for $2. YIPPEE....I also, got the mirror moved up 2 inches in our bathroom. Now I can even see my short self in it. I did a little work in my room as well. As you can see things a bit more in place...oh except that mess by the widow. =O Happy Fall =)

Hello Fall! As you can see our trees are turning. Amazing to see one section of a tree turn while the rest is green. It will all change soon. The leaves are already coming down. =( As beautiful as it is it means one thing.....WINTER is on it's way! ugh....So we had 60 ton of stone brought in on Friday. It wasn't enough to fill the garage area. Joe thinks it will take another 90 ton, give or take, to fill the porch area and drive way. Kristian and I stayed over night again Sat. night. I worked until around 1AM getting stuff put in it's place. Kristian closet light was one of the duds that never worked so I took it back and got a new one up on Sat. YEAH!!! it works!

Just thought I'd share this beautiful sunrise that Kristian and I was blessed with on the way to get his wheelchair worked on this morning! He noticed it first and said "mom, isn't it beautiful!" Then he said," take pictures!" Like mother like son! ;)

Just had to put on a better pic of the black goo! =) Click on the picture for a better look....

We had a productive weekend. Friday Mike and Phil Nofziger (Nofziger Masonary) came out and finished up the block laying. What pro's they are! They did in four hours what we had done in days. Goes to show practice makes perfect. "Thanks SO Much guys!" Friday was the first night Kristian and I stayed in our new house. We still have no water so I ran home every 6 hours or so to use the rest room. Friday night Kristian and I got his new bed together. It's nothing fancy but I think he'll enjoy the drawers to put his toys in. (you can't see it but there is three drawers on the front) When we had it all put together he said, "I can't wait to go to sleep in my new bed." I said, "Kristian I'm sorry but tonight mommy is sleeping there and you get the red one!" Once in bed he was out in a matter of minutes. Of course, he never goes to sleep without a fan! Gets that honestly from me and Ashlin. Oh yeah and I can't keep these floors clean with all the construction traffic. Glad I don't have carpet getting all black! EWWWW Sat. Andy and Scott came to finish up the walls, "thanks to you both, again!" Sandy came too but with not much to do got to take off and go to Sam's Club!! =) So being the "I can do it myself" sort of gal....I told everyone I'd put the sealer on the block. WARNING! Any one that EVER thinks " I can do that" call me and I'll remind you how "HORRIBLE" that is. This is stinky, sticky, black gooey tar! It does not wipe off with a rag. (you need gas or something similar) You'll have it on your hands in seconds and then on your pants, shoes, shirt, hair and face (we all have face itches). Oh it is terrible and simply NO FUN! The Bible speaks of God saving us from the mirey pit. Well, "THANK YOU MOM" for saving from the tary pit! She showed up and helped me get the last two walls done. I would have not gotten done if she would not have come! God is good! We both had to throw our stuff away. Look closely at her hands/sweatshirt...it is speckled in black goo...no saving/washing that! Kristian had to use the restroom a few times while I was working, he now has it on his leg and I found it on my calf today! It just keeps showing up! =) Next, we are backfilling, then forming up the garage floor and hoping to pour it next sat.! With the wet problems we now have mildew in the crawl space. Pray that goes away soon. BTB was there Friday spraying a mixture of bleach water. Once we grade the yard and get eves up the water problem should be resolved! ok...off for now...good night! =)

every once in a while I do let me hair down and take off the Habitat shirt...=) I was taking pics here on mon. and tue. after my b-day. The flowers and jewelry I received as gifts.... Thanks to everyone for the cards and gifts. Can you tell the day I was up at 4AM and actually had time for hair and makeup...LOL

Today we had a rain delay on laying block. Maybe we can get back at it tomorrow...we need to get this finished so we can move forward!

Today my little bro showed up to give me a hand. He fixed some lights...one is in the pics to follow (brushed nickel light above oval mirror it was one of the bad fixtures that was put up. What a trick trying to find the problems when sometimes it's the new fixture that is bad we had two new lights that were bad and several switches) UGH!! . Also, he gave me a hand with this ironing board cupboard. Honestly he did most of the work, I gave him a hand. What a good brother he is! Thanks Brian =) I worked on the entertainment center after he left. It was nearly done last sat. but what a pain that thing was/is. The doors are still not right but someone smarter than me will have to look at it. It may be possible they are not square but I don't have a square to check. Oh well!
