Another beautiful day here in NW Ohio and another great day of Volunteers, Thanks again TLC! After 13 work days we have come a LONG way! It's so awesome week after week doing this. Today we finished the flooring and worked again on the shed. I must say this week went much better on the shed. (I won't show you my black and blue thumb/fingernail =O OWIEEE) Many of the doors have been put in and some of the trim. As you can see Josh enjoyed some of our red frosting cupcakes from yesterday! We are scheduled to be finished by July 21 and so far we are right on target! =)

June 29, 2007 Trinity Lutheran Church "Thank you all!"

cupcakes after lunch made for some great fun with the red, white and blue icing. Our teeth were displaying the colors nicely!
Sorry Roger couldn't help it you are too cute! You really did a great job today and I know the cookies gave you the extra boost! ;) (ps..this picture was originally supposed to be of my mother in law signing in to work but Roger walked through the shot after getting a sugar fix)

Inside the house everyone was on their knees running the wire for the radiant flooring. After the wire was down they laid strips of wood between the wires. Then it was time for the "fun" to begin. The mixed up the mortar and began spreading it out over the wireing. Oh what fun a bunch of boys can have playing in the "mud." Oh...Gretchen was in there too holding the spool of wire as they laid it. Thanks Everyone! Job well done....

I'd like some feedback if you are able to see this blog. I have heard some can't...let me know...Thanks =)

Outside in the back yard another project was beginning. Things were going fine for a while then we noticed that three of the pre-framed pieces for the shed were different than two of them. As you can see in the picture they are different colors, the two older ones, but we had no idea they were not the same size. What a rip off, we even paid for this!!! It led to much frustration. BTB came to the rescue and we tore two of them apart and made them right. "Thanks Steve"...
It typically don't take a full day to put up the shed but typically they come the same sizes! =) You'll notice Kristian trying to talk Josh into starting a fire by rubbing sticks together. They tried for hours to get a fire going. Kristian did ask Josh's mom, Brenda, to go see if anyone had a lighter! LOL He had fun there today! Brenda, her husband Rick, and Josh will be future habitat homeowners and are working toward their sweet equity hours on our house. PS....can you tell someone loves to grab my camera....my addition is rubbing off, next she will have one of her own. ;) "Thanks Tanya" ...."to, ta, to, ta, LOL" Tanya is also working toward hours because she too is going to get a Habitat Home. (she is pictured with me on the final shed pic. with two side boards up) I believe they are neck in neck........ it's a nail biter! Way to go you guys!
