Be careful little eyes what you see
It's the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings
Be careful little feet where you go
For it's the little feet behind you that are sure to follow

It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
It's a slow fade, it's a slow fade

Be careful little ears what you hear
When flattery leads to compromise, the end is always near
Be careful little lips what you say
For empty words and promises lead broken hearts astray

It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day

The journey from your mind to your hands
Is shorter than you're thinking
Be careful if you think you stand
You just might be sinking

It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
Daddies never crumble in a day
Families never crumble in a day

Oh be careful little eyes what see
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
For the Father up above is looking down in love
Oh be careful little eyes what you see

Here is a tree that is on our bus route. I happened to have my camera in my pocket from the grass picture so I thought I'd snap a few shots. Simply breathtaking! I love the fall!

Stone Patrol

The day after we seeded the yard Kristian was asking me what kind of business he could go into to make enough money to buy the new speed racer game. I suggested he get a bucket and his helping hand and pick up stones in the dirt. He enlisted 3 neighbors (two girls 11 and 9 not pictured) and Mildred came to help him too. He had to fill the bucket to get the game. I tossed him several large chunks of wood and large stones to help him get it full. We were at Wal-Mart moments after he proclaimed the bucket full!

Mildred phoned me today to give me the good news she seen baby grass poking through...YIPPEE!! I had to grab my camera and snap a photo! LOL

looking back

ok...that phrase seems like a title of a song! LOL So I was organizing these pics and looked at pics from a year ago. WOW...how amazing the difference in a years time. We had just moved in a year ago and as you see the pantry was a disaster. Not being used for a pantry at all! The front of the house was just being started and as I looked at the pic. I was remiminded of when Andy and I tried to get the 24 foot framed garage wall up and it crashed down. What a blessing that both he and I wasn't hit, other than it brushed my head and pulled my pony tail holder out, both of us were between the studs and was virtually untouched. whew...God is always watching out for us! Here is Kristain's school pic. I took for this year. Also, we had his cousins over and they enjoyed playing in the lift. Austin sat in it, suspended, watching a movie in Kristian's room. I watered the new plants this morning and snapped a few pics. The east side has landscaping a little more than half way back and a cute little pickett fence. The west side has all sorts of neat things for Mildred to look at as she sits outside. We/they also put some temporary steps in with a rail for her to use to come see us. As you can see the rear still looks a little sad but after Andy does his handy work on the deck and we finish landscaping behind Kristian's window it will but much different. We will wait for the rest of the landscaping until Andy and I get the deck configuration figured out. Once again. What a blessing to have Schmimdlin's come in and take over. I didn't have but one or two decissions to make and the rest they did all on their own. It's awesome! Thanks Again so much for your generosity!

What a difference a day makes!

WOW...what a big difference a day can make. (Ok, well Don's probably thinking he's been at it since Thur. and brainstorming even longer.) I have to say the morning started with a wave of emotions for me. The men on a mission and a truck FULL of landscaping supplies simply overwhelmed me and nearly brought me to tears. I fought them off knowing I'd have four men wondering, and some possibly asking, "what's wrong?" Only to hear me say "nothing" and them feel totally lost as to what was going on (women... LOL. =) Schmidlin's Greenhouse came out in a big way and really made things look amazing! Thanks to Don and Becky for their amazing gift of their time, resources and LOVE! Along with them doing the landscaping today (Don started the block wall in thur.) another crew worked on the yard. Thanks to Mike for bringing his "toy" up and getting the yard drug and seeded! We had five young men come and give us a hand planting and picking up unwanted stuff in the yard. Thanks to Nick, Tanner, Craig, Tom and Seth for their help. Mildred turned 91 yesterday and baked us a cake today. (How does that work?) Everyone enjoyed the homemade treat. Dad and Mom were able to come by which helped out too Mom kept Kristian company while dad was able to comfortably supervise from the porch. I'll take some better end of the day pics tomorrow. I also can't wait to show you little sprouts of green grass poking it's way through the soil. Please pray for a day or so of a nice gentle rain. =)
