Garden & Naughty bunnies!!

Here are the naughty little bunnies.....I know they look cute but trust me they are very naughty!! Cynthia is so close to one, I'm hoping she catches them soon! If you look at the last bunnie photo you can see both of them in one shot! grrrrrr I think they are laughing at me!!!!

so these destructive little bunnies have had their way with lots of my yummy plants. I think they have told some other bunnies about the new buffet at the lippert house too! grrrr...as you can see what is supposed to look like two pretty round silver mounds looks all parted and crushed where the bunnies like to hide! Then Mildred and I planted these climbing vines that will have red little flowers well look at how nice hers looks and until today mine looked just the same! Unbelievable how they can consume it SO FAST! Then there are many other casualties of the naughty little bunnies....who knows what will be next! I need to get a gun! Cynthia is going to try to catch them and if she does her dad says she can keep them. Is there anyone that would like to come help her I have at least a half a dozen I'd like to send home to PA!!

here are the new things I've planted. There is a honeysuckle vine, just starting to sprout, in the pot is a white birch tree, then you'll see what looks like grass, it's called flame grass, and it will grow like pompous grass then my new red robin hood bush is just poking through the ground and a neighbor gave me some lilac shoots that I put at the corner of my garden. These are all in danger of the neighborhood menus....THE BUNNIES!!!

here is my garden..I have zucchini front and center then 9 potato plants and tomato's behind them. At the top of the photo are two pepper plants and lettuce. I had a cucumber plant but I think when I sprayed for weeds I got it too! =( Thanks to Uncle Harold and Aunt Evie for inspiring me to garden. They gave me tomato plants and the potato's to start my plants. Maybe next year I'll have more veggies! ummmm good! (originally my neighbor asked if she could use part of the garden to plant so that is why I only used half but she never got around to planting so maybe next year I'll plant enough for us all)

Pittsburgh Memories!

On Monday Evette and I met in Pittsburgh so I could pick up Cynthia to spend a few weeks with us again this summer. I didn't organize these pictures very well so I apologize. We dumped three digital camera's photo's into one file and I should have put them in order before uploading. Anyway, you can see the events of Monday evening and most of the day on Tue. as we enjoyed some fun in Pittsburgh. The picture of Cynthia is sleeping on the way home to Ohio she was no company and Kristian played his DS or slept. After a day of walking all over Evette and I were pooped and did not want to make the 3 1/2 hour drives. We stopped at a DQ before leaving to try to pep us up some. Cynthia snapped some pics of us enjoying our sweet treats and me trying to get the nuts out of my teeth with my tongue. Nice face huh! "Ok Cynthia I told you I would put it on here!" I guess that's only fair with my posting the sleeping one! =) Pittsburgh was awesome to see. On Monday evening we walked for 2 hours seeing the downtown sights. We went to Point State Park and from there you can see Heinz stadium and PNC Park. We could see lots more too as you can see. The water fountain is beautiful too! From our room we could see Mellon Arena in the mirrored building across from our hotel. Also, you get a glimpse of a beautiful church. I thought of Amber when I seen these pictures later she always has an eye for abstract kinds of pictures. Let me know what you think Amber! =) You could tell the city had been FULL just days before with the Stanley cup playoffs. Lots of "Stuff" left behind. There was an area at Point State Park where many artists left there mark on the sidewalk. I loved the smiley sun. We rode the Duquesne (Ducane) Incline on Tuesday and had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe where we could watch the children playing in the musical fountain. It was fun. Just before we left a class from a school showed up and we couldn't wait for them to get wet. It was fun to hear them all squeal when the fountain let loose!

fun by the fire!

We love having fun with friends, family and the fire pit! Here are a few pics of Friday nights fun! We had extra excitement with two woodpeckers, you can see Kristian on the look out, a hot air ballon that flew over and a baby bunny that I couldn't get a picture of! The full moon showed up to say good night to us.
