Tonight we went to see the lights at the zoo. Despite the looks on Brooke and Kristian's faces they did have fun! The one of Kristian looking like speed racer is him trying to beat me on the ramp entering the zoo. I took the steps and he did the ramp. I won and was taping him zooming toward me! SLOW DOWN KRISTIAN!!! The lights were amazing and they say the large tree has more lights than the one in Rockefeller center in NYC. It was only about 32 degrees so we didn't get too cold.

Kristian got this fun activity making crystals. He loves doing this sort of stuff and trying experiments. While Brian was here working on the lights Austin and Kristian were playing games on the computers. We had a ventless heater installed in the garage so it could be warm and cozy for our thanksgiving feast. It was perfect! The evening before Thanksgiving Brooke was here with her friend Nick and they were pitching in where ever needed. Brooke gave Brian a hand on the electrical stuff and Nick was helping Granny make old fashioned cream pies. Oh were they yummy too!! The space for a family feast was perfect and it was one of the biggest things on my list to be thankful for this past year. I have to mention I was also very thankful that Brian came and finished garage lights and outdoor lights. I was wonderful seeing those lights shine!

God is good and takes care of our every need! Hope eveyone had a wonderful thanksgiving!

OK...I've been given the go ahead to share what Ashlin and Dago were told. It's a girl! She will have another ultra sound her next appointment but they were confident she will be a girl. Her name will be Makayla Lin Martinez!

March 27 seems so far away! Kristian and I have reservations April 8-13 to hold her! =)

Here are some pics from two weeks ago when Kristian and I traveled to KY to see Brooke. Here was a cool looking building that we seen on the way in Cincinnati. Also, we passed this sign that made up think of our good friends in CA. ;) We surprised Brooke at work by showing up a little early. She cooked up spaghetti, which was yummy, then by that evening poor Kristian was running a temp of 100.9 so Brooke ran out to get him some meds. Brooke was trying to show Kristian what he will look like with armpit hair. He thought it was very funny! KIDS!! He also had fun looking through a flyer clipping out christmas ideas for Brooke to buy him. We had fun playing games, putting a puzzle together and then watched a movie while snacking on cheese, summemr sausage and crackers. We woke up to some snow sunday morning and then Brooke took us to her church. We had a nice visit, other than poor little Kristian being sick.

leaves are falling everywhere!

Saturday was a beautiful day to get out and rake leaves. I worked from 8:30Am until 3:30PM blowing, raking and lots of other misc. outdoor things. Here was my pile of leaves and broken branches. Looking up and down the street you see much of the same thing! Also, I thought I'd snap a pic. of "freckles" on the leaves. I thought the tree had a disease of some sort so I asked our local Arborist and he told me that those spots are simply characteristics of the leave. It's like freckles on our face. Learn something new every day! By the way, I woke up this morning to the back yard covered with cotton wood leaves. UGH.....amazing how much work there is in cleaning up leaves when I have NO trees on my property! I had thought of putting a few out back. NO WAY! LOL

Hope everyone was on time today with falling behind!
