Many of you know my love for getting up early and walking on the beach. Well things are no different. I was up Sunday morning by 5 AM (third morning in a row and I didn't try to get up that early) I was down to the beach (couple blocks drive) by 6:45 to see the 7:19 sunrise. It was a very foggy day so you can see the sunrise was not brilliant. I was able to spent about an our walking along the waters edge and I found some good shells. Also, I walked upon a bunch of seagulls that simply parted ways when I walked up. After I got by they all flew off. It was so quiet and I was about the only one out there at that time. =) Susan and I went back after lunch, the fog was still there, but beginning to burn off. We enjoyed several hours and another few miles of walking the water's edge finding some cool shells. Here are some of the sites we seen. A jelly fish, an elderly woman with her pet ducks, a couple that taught us how to find sharks teeth, I am not a good student because I found NONE...susan found 3 or so! =) This couple comes down to feed the seagulls dog food. They said they buy 50 pounds a week for the birds! Also, Susan found a spatula which was a great find cause the one in our condo is junky! It bends when trying to use it!

Our weather has been sunny, not particularly hot, but we are loving the sun! Here we are catching some rays and Susan caught me blogging. Also, you'll see some of the sites I miss so much now that I live so far from beaches!

Around 3:30 on Sat. Dec. 27th we arrived at Myrtle Beach. What a wonderful feeling to crawl out of the car into the warm sun! AHHHH....So the resort is awesome and within minutes of arriving we really felt blessed to have such a wonderful place to spend the next 7 days. Here are a few of the pics we snapped within moments of stepping in the condo.

Friday we had an ice storm and we are still dealing with the icy mess. Our temps over the weekend stayed frigid and saved the glimmering wonder for pics today. I had no time to snap pics on Friday because I spent hours outside shoveling so that I would be able to get out of the driveway. We left friday afternoon around 4:30PM to take Kristian to Nashville so that Kris could get him for few weeks of fun in Florida. It's kinda hard to see in the pics but this sign gives you a glimpse of what everything was layered with. Also, when temps fall below a certain degree salt will not melt it. When I returned home last night it was -25 with wind chills. BRRRR...it was COLD! Many of the local streets are still very icy.

This is a elf dance that I put together on elfyourself.com. I did all them but I like how Kristian pops up in the middle at the end on the country version. It's lots of fun to put your faces in.

If you do it make sure you email them back to me so I can see how cute you look!

Tonight we went to see the lights at the zoo. Despite the looks on Brooke and Kristian's faces they did have fun! The one of Kristian looking like speed racer is him trying to beat me on the ramp entering the zoo. I took the steps and he did the ramp. I won and was taping him zooming toward me! SLOW DOWN KRISTIAN!!! The lights were amazing and they say the large tree has more lights than the one in Rockefeller center in NYC. It was only about 32 degrees so we didn't get too cold.
