I have heard so much about the Grieser sisters. Well, today I finally got to meet them. They served us all a wondeful, nearly full course, meal. They also made two quilts and presented them to us at lunch time. Kristian was ready to snuggle on the spot. He waited until we got home and as I sat uploading pictures and typing he fell asleep beside me with his head on my Bible! He is the best!! =)

At the end of the day the floors looked mostly like wet concrete. Next week we will put laminate flooring over this. We will have to sand it out in some area's and shave some of the high spots down in other's.

Well, another day done. Wow, are things moving fast! Today Central Mennonite came to give us a hand. We spent the day doing primer and then painting. Not sure how many gallons we went through but @ the end of the day there was about 6 five gallon buckets outside. Maybe some of them were old ones!? Tomorrow we will work on flooring all day. As you will see BTB already started in Kristian's bathroom. In the following pics you'll see how the day unfolded. For lunch today we were treated by Jeanette Beck. She brought four of her grandchildren and her mother Lorraine to help out. Thanks Jeannette~ Susan's granddaughter was brave enough to go paint the linen closet in Kristian's bathroom. (she is one of the few that can fit!=) Thanks Sam! Everyone worked hard, it was another awesome day! At the end of the day we had many roller's and brushes to clean up. Gotta love those disposable liners! Thanks Everyone!

All in a weeks work!

Rick Whitten, along with different helpers (pictured with him today is his niece) has been working all week finishing the dry wall. It's looking great and we should start painting Friday! "Thanks Rick!"

Kristian has a new comforter

A friend from NC sent a gift card from Target to use on the house project. We went to Target on Tue. and bought Kristian a new comforter for his new bedroom. He asked to have it on his bed now.;) Oh, the horses are General (largest one), Toby (with the saddle) and April (looks like the horse he rides now...=) "thank you A."

June 16

Another day of work done. After two very warm days we have accomplished our goal of having dry wall done by days end. Wow! We sure could not have done it without the great help from FCC. "Thanks Again!" We had a special treat after lunch today. Tony brought some of his homemade ice cream to share with the hard workers. There was enough left over for an afternoon treat too. It was so good that some had to go back for seconds. (Jack;) I'm glad they got the extra boost it was just what they needed to get the job done! It looks great!

Oh yeah, we also had a surprise visit today from Ron Duran. Great to see ya Ron!
