Dear Makayla

Hello Makayla,

Grammie wanted to write you and let you know we are so excited for you, and Daddy, and Mommy, to come tomorrow. Here are a few pictures of our house so you won't feel lost when you get here. Grammie got Uncle Kristian's pack and play set of up for you and Mommy and Daddy will sleep on the futon. I have gotten Aunt Amber, Brooke's and Mommy rocking chair out from when they were little and put a special snowman in it that was Great Great Grandma Ruffer's. I also have had fun gathering some old, and new toys, and put them in a basket for you to play with. I seen you under your tree and that made grammie laugh. As you can see our tree has presents under so you won't be able to play under there. See all the fun stuff by the TV on the floor. That is all for you to play with honey! Some really nice family members, you will meet them, let us borrow some things for your stay too. We are so thankful for that because Grammie does not have all these sorts of things any longer! Make sure to give them bit wet kisses when you see them. =) I have made some magnets for you to play with on the fridge. I didn't like the small letters so bought some foam bath toys and glued magnets to the back. You can't choke on these! Grammie also made a cupboard for you to play in and put a basket with fun stuff in there. You probably will be more interested in the pots and pans though and that's ok! Grammie is sending a picture of our Nativity so you know when you see it not to touch it! It is ceramic and could break and then you may get hurt. This is definately a no no, otherwise you can do most what you want! We can't wait to see you all. Be good for Daddy and Mommy on the plane. Grammie will be saying her prayers that all goes well! See you tomorrow afternoon!

O Christmas Tree!

Here is our collection of trees at our house this year. Of course, I could not leave out the most important meaning of Christmas so I posted our nativty first and last. (Funny how the light in there is yellow and it shows up purple.) hmmm

We have a pre-lit flocked tree in the garage (given to us) In Kristian's room I have a mini multi-colored lit tree with mini ornaments (We got this at a thrift store several years ago already decorated w/ lights and ornaments for $3) In my room another mini tree that was given to us ) In Brooke's room there is a mini mini tree (also given to us.) In the den is a mini mini tree (donated and just outside the door on the deck is an outdoor tree. (given to us) In the bathroom is is a wood star tree. On the study center is a twig tree. In the living room is our family tree with personal ornaments from over the years. We have had this tree 20 years so it has sentimental value to us! Hope you all have a safe blessed Christmas season.

We are going a little nuts with decorating since our little Miss Makayla will be here for Christmas! Can't wait to see her little face and watch her eyes light up as she sees all the pretty lights! =)
